The Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace highlighted that, despite the extreme right’s attempts to sow chaos, an atmosphere of peace and tranquility reigns in the country.
Behind Interpol’s refusal to capture and hand over former presidential candidate Edmundo Gonzaléz Urrutia to justice is “the tale of the politically persecuted,” criticized the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello.
“Interpol has its mechanisms, but behind that refusal is the story of the politically persecuted. “He (González Urrutia) is very cowardly. He wanted to light a candle here and then he runs away, leaving his people without understanding what happened,” Cabello said during the usual weekly PSUV press conference.
In this sense, he joked about the possibility that González Urrutia will return to the country on January 10. “We already have a welcome committee ready for him, because he says he is coming to be sworn in on the 10th. Justice always comes and will come to all of them,” he emphasized.
On the other hand, the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace also highlighted that, despite the extreme right’s attempts to sow chaos, an atmosphere of peace and tranquility reigns in the country.
“The Bolivarian Revolution works for security and peace without needing the opinion of parasites like Juan Guaidó. Venezuela is working as a single machinery for peace,” he highlighted.
However, Cabello warned that the extreme right will maintain, despite the efforts of the Revolutionary Government, its plans to sow violence in the country.
