The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, stated that they are making an effort so that the country has “the best police force.”
In that sense, Cabello warned police officials of committing the crime of bribery in the performance of their duty.
“If any police official is on the street asking for money, he is going to get into tremendous trouble (…) no official can be collecting fines personally,” he stated during the issue 502 from his program Con El Mazo Dando.
“Do you know what it means to wear a police uniform? That has to be a source of pride, it has to be an honest, upright and dignified person who complies with the law,” he pointed out.
The Minister of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace also sent a “healthy warning” to those people who use the name of senior officials of the national Executive to defraud or swindle the authorities or other citizens: “there is more than one, at this moment, imprisoned for that,” he asserted.
“There are no managers, there are no intermediaries at all. “Don’t let anyone take your money away,” he urged.
I hope Trump ends the wars
The revolutionary leader commented on the victory of Republican Donald Trump in the United States presidential elections. “Trump won, congratulations Mr. Trump. If you fulfill what you said that you were going to end wars, welcome to this world,” he said.
“He said it, that he was going to end wars, I hope you can end wars,” he concluded.
