Cabello affirms that “nothing and no one” can take away the joy of Christmas from the people

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, highlighted the beginning of the Christmas season in the country and the joy of the people “who, despite all the attacks, are always standing there.”

During broadcast No. 497 From his program Con el Mazo Dando, Cabello stated that the Venezuelan people maintain their enthusiasm because “there is nothing and no one that can take away or steal their joy.”

“They are angry because Christmas came early; Copeyanos and Adecos with cassocks, they were able to eliminate it when Carlos Ortega said: there will be no Christmas here, and they applauded,” he recalled in reference to the criticism from the ecclesiastical authorities for the advance of the Christmas celebrations this year carried out by the president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

Likewise, the Bolivarian leader maintained that “starting today, we begin to prepare for the Baby Jesus, the Happy New Year and prepare for January 10, which is the people’s turn again” with the swearing-in of Maduro just as It is established by the Constitution, after achieving re-election in the July 28 elections.

Last Monday, the national leader criticized that “some guys in cassocks came out to say that there would be no Christmas if they didn’t decree it.”

“No sir in a cassock, you do not decree anything here (…) Jesus Christ belongs to the people, Christmas belongs to the people and the people celebrate it when they want to celebrate their Christmas,” declared the head of state.
