Cabello: A law to recover Venezuelan assets is in consultation

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, led the customary weekly press conference of the political awning, in which he addressed different issues of national interest.

Cabello, accompanied by the national leadership of the party, assured that the commitment of the Venezuelan opposition to the government of the United States (USA) was to continue the process of plundering the country’s assets outside the territory.

In this sense, he commented that the presence of Juan Guaidó in the US “was important for the gringos”, and considered that the former deputy “had to sign” something.

“When they assign 346 million dollars to Primero Justicia, Un Nuevo Tiempo and Acción Democrática so they can continue to steal it, they are distributing it to everyone, to everyone who was stealing with them,” he said.

Given the dispossession of Venezuelan assets, he recalled that the Asset Forfeiture Law was recently approved in the National Assembly, and that the draft Law for the Protection of Assets of Rights and Interests of the Republic and its Entities abroad is in consultation. ; another legal instrument to recover assets in the hands of corruption.

“Anyone who has collected from there, that has to be recovered (…) This is not a persecution, this is putting the clear rules on the table,” he emphasized.

Cabello referred to some Venezuelans who comment that there are no sanctions applied to Venezuela, despite the 928 Unilateral Coercive Measures (MCU) that weigh on the economy, financial activity and strategic companies in the country.

“There is proof, three acts of imperialism committed against our country in one week,” said the senior Chavista official, referring to the theft of the Emtrasur plane and the OFAC license against the CITGO refinery.

The first vice president of the PSUV charged against the government in Washington, classifying them as “thieves” and “shameless” who “don’t care about anything.”

“The gringos never comply (…) they can commit to anyone, but they will always act in their own interests,” he added.

When asked about the recent adjustments to the minimum vital income of the country’s workers, Cabello stressed that President Nicolás Maduro has a “particular language with workers.”

“If it had been due to the availability of resources, maybe I couldn’t give a raise at all. But President Maduro moved away from where there was no place to make his announcements concrete, with the pain of not being able to give more to the workers, ”he clarified.

In addition, he recalled that in Venezuela for 10 years the Adeco-Copeyan governments did not increase the minimum wage because the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would not let them.

Xenophobia against Venezuelan migrants

After the recent events involving Venezuelan migrants on the border between Chile and Peru, as well as the unfortunate episode in which 8 people were run over in Texas, USA; Cabello sent a message to the young people so that they “return to their country that nobody is going to harm them.”

“There is a campaign against our people, against our youth. This is your country, we love you here, your family is here,” stressed the PSUV politician.

He also commented that the government has transported more than 35,000 people in the Plan Vuelta a la Patria from various South American countries.

And he regretted that in some cases it was not possible to go looking for compatriots “because the governments of those countries do not allow our planes to supply fuel there.”

CNE opposition primaries

Diosdado Cabello stressed that the opposition knows that Venezuela’s electoral system is the safest in the world.

For this reason, he assured that “there is no way for them to hold these primaries without the National Electoral Council (CNE), unless they meet in a small room and vote among themselves and multiply it by 1 or 2 million.”

Territorialization of the Jpsuv

This week there was continuity to a day of territorialization of the JPSUV with the participation of more than 200,000 young people, so that each street and community has a minimum structure of the youth of the party.

“There would be a person in charge of the UBCH, one of communication, one of training, one of communication and social networks,” Cabello explained.

At the same time, he praised achieving “perfect meshing of the entire machinery of the PSUV with the JPSUV (…) to build our revolution, our socialism, to continue advancing and accompanying the government of President Nicolás Maduro.”

He also recalled the 37th anniversary of the Yumare massacre, when a group of Venezuelans were murdered for being against the governments of the “adeco-copeyana dictatorship.”

“Whoever said they were against the Adeco-Copeyan dictatorship was immediately persecuted, he and his family,” he settled.
