The City of Buenos Aires will have its first Forest Fire Brigade (BIF) from Monday, which will have the purpose of protecting the three Buenos Aires nature reserves and will have a total of 22 operators, according to official information.
The BIF will be based in the Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve, which with its 350 hectares is the largest in the City, but it will also provide protection for Villa Lugano (35 hectares) and Costanera Norte (23 ha) reservesspecified from the Ministry of Security of the City of Buenos Aires.
