The parking meter system that until now was used in some neighborhoods of CABA It will stop working as of May, according to the head of government Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.
As explained by the president, the system used up to now the city will be replaced by an application, which will allow the citizens of CABA pay for parking digitally.
This measure will apply to the 4,000 fee spaces enabled in the parking system of CABATherefore, during April educational and dissemination campaigns will be carried out on the new platform.
Through the app, drivers must register the license plate of the car and subsequently generate the paymentdepending on the time of use of the parking lot, so a prepaid or postpaid scheme will be used.
The measure also establishes that parking is free for residents in the parking areas delimited by the Government, and up to 300 meters from their home.
The strategy is part of a government plan and commitments announced this Thursday by the administration of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta for 2022, which also includes 26 other measures for various sectors.
What other commitments did the Government of CABA assume?
Horacio Rodríguez Larreta communicated that work will be done to strengthen education, employment, security, urban transformation and comprehensive well-being, which in turn implies promoting a digital city.
In this sense, in the citythe downtown of Buenos Aires will be transformed into a residential area, 30 companies will be created in the Villa Devoto Wine District, in addition to 10 green streets.
In addition, 500 new patrol cars will enter to reinforce the work of the Police to guarantee the safety of citizens, and 1,000 cameras will be integrated into the video surveillance system.
Another objective of the Buenos Aires Government will be to have more than 500 digital procedures, which began to be implemented with the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic.
