The Santo Domingo Aqueduct and Sewerage Corporation (CAASD) will benefit more than 10,000 families from various sectors of Santo Domingo East with the work on the water distribution networks that it has been carrying out on the Mella highway since last week
The entity reported that the work is advanced and that this week it would be completed, a joint is being treated in a 48×12-inch pipe, on the Mella highway, specifying that the infrastructure, which is 70% complete, is in charge of the Execution Unit. Projects of the institution.
Felipe Subervidirector of the CAASD, said that within the sectors that will benefit are, Juan Pablo II (Los Cartones), Amapola residential, Vista Hermosa residential, Altos de Cancino, Prados del Cachón, El Cachón de la Rubia; El Brisal and Lucerna and others.
“More than ten thousand people will benefit from this junction; we are executing the works that had been shelved for a long time, in order to provide our people with an efficient service”, explained Suberví.
He indicated that the performance of the entity is to solve major problems in the communities of the province. “For this reason, we go directly to the communities to, together with their residents, learn about the reality that affects them, and together seek the best solution, in order to improve their quality of life. These small works are the ones that reach the population directly,” he said.
The works affect traffic on the Mella highway because the works are carried out at the intersection with La Trinitaria street.
