The Santo Domingo Aqueduct and Sewerage Corporation (CAASD) began the work of laying pipes to bring drinking water to more than 200,000 inhabitants of different sectors of the Eastern municipality of the province, who had not received the liquid for more than 15 years.
CAASD CEO, Felipe Subervi, He explained that this intervention is part of a strategic plan of the government of President Luis Abinader, through which they will be providing solutions to problems with the supply of drinking water.
“We are resolving situations that had not been addressed for years, and that are being carried out by the president by the CAASD, in favor of the inhabitants of Santo Domingo Este,” Suberví pointed out.
In this sense, he stressed that the work being carried out on Ecological Avenue is aimed at facilitating the supply of the precious liquid to the communities located on both sides of the road, such as the residential Marpe, Brisa Oriental, Prado Oriental, Villa Eloísa, East Lotification, among others.
Likewise, the official indicated that among the tasks carried out by the brigades of the institution are the installation of linear meters of pipes, placement of valves, among other executions, which guarantee the supply to those sectors of Santo Domingo Este.
Similarly, he stressed that the work will have an investment of more than 89 million pesos.
On their side, residents highlighted that with the work they carry out in their communities, the CAASD guarantees the solution to the problem in the service that they demanded for years.
They indicated that these executions give them a great relief, because they will not have to travel to other communities to stock up.
“We are satisfied with the work that President Abinader’s government is doing through the CAASD for our municipality. We have seen how they are working in the Equestrian, in the Ecological, in Los Trinitarios, everywhere, bringing water to those who have not received it for years, “said inhabitants of the area.
