This Saturday the sixth day of the Caacupé novena takes place, with young people as protagonists of the Church as the central theme. The Eucharist yesterday afternoon had a massive turnout.
Monsignor Miguel Ángel Cabello, Bishop of Concepción, presides over the holy mass that began at 7:00 in the Basilica of Caacupé. The motto is: “The laity, called to be builders of peace and social justice”.
In addition, at 7:00 p.m., the Eucharist will be presided over by the Monsignor Ricardo Valenzuela, Bishop of Caacupé, with the preaching of the priest Osvaldo Duarte, Provincial Superior of the Redemptorists in Paraguay.

A few days before the festivity, the influx of parishioners is increasing, as many prefer to anticipate the eve and the day of the Virgin of Caacupé, which is next Thursday, December 8, a national holiday.
On this point, the Executive finally made official the declaration of public holiday from Wednesday the 7th at noon, despite the fact that at first it denied it.

The brigades of the Ministry of Health are in the main points of pilgrimage, to attend to the devotees. Fainting, decompensation, sprained ankles, dehydration, blisters, are some of the cases that are reported annually.
