Without a vote from the bench, and in a decision announced as a consensus by Mario Delgado, the coordinator of Morena in the Chamber of Deputies will be Ricardo Monreal, who asked his colleagues for time to process an agreement that will allow the vice presidencies of the board of directors to be decided, which will be chaired by Ifigenia Martínez, and the vice coordinations.

As had been anticipated by Morena deputies, the elected deputy Ifigenia Martínez will not only preside over the table of deans, which the Chamber will install tomorrow Thursday, but will also place the presidential sash on Claudia Sheinbaum on October 1.

Yesterday, in the plenary session of the parliamentary group of the cherry party, the next president approached to greet Ifigenia Martínez and gave her an affectionate hug, amid applause from those who will be her colleagues in the 66th legislature, who expressed to her chairwoman!

Both the vice-presidencies of San Lázaro and the vice-coordinations of the majority group will be resolved today, in a new plenary session convened at 10 a.m. in the legislative hall.

Morena deputies explained that Monreal asked them for time to operate an agreement that would allow him to reach consensus, because different groups began to weave alliances to obtain the greatest number of votes.

Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar and Gabriela Jiménez are emerging as vice-coordinators of the group, while Sergio Gutiérrez Luna –who already chaired the board of directors in the current legislature–, Dolores Padierna Luna, Olga Sanchez Cordero and Juan Ángel Flores Bustamante, former mayor of Jojutla, Morelos, have signed up for the vice-presidencies of the Chamber.

Meanwhile, a group of deputies was summoned by the next head of the Secretariat for Women, Citlalli Hernández, to a working meeting on Monday night, which was moderated by the former head of the Mexican Youth Institute, Guillermo Rafael Santiago.

Among those who participated in the course – at the Ismael Rodríguez Cultural and Recreational Unit, in the Roma neighborhood – were the elected mayor of Iztapalapa, Aleida Alavez; the former leader of the PRD in Michoacán, Raúl Morón; Ramírez Cuéllar and Citlalli Hernández herself. Alavez shared with the deputies a QR code with the achievements, advances and pending issues of the 64th and 65th legislatures.

Some of these deputies met after the plenary session to follow the mooring of votes In a statement, Morena highlighted that Monreal told the new legislators that Time will make us stronger and stronger in unity.
