Santo Domingo.- Recently the word “butter” has gone viral on social networks, it has been accompanied by memes and reactions that may lead one to think that perhaps it is a simple joke, but do you really know who butter is?
Wilkin García Peguero, better known as “mantequilla”, is a 34-year-old man who claims to be an economist, a native of Sabana Grande de Boyá, and describes himself as a “financial genius”.
He became known on social networks after a video went viral in which he appears throwing a large amount of money from the second floor of the residence where his company called 3.14 investments is said to be located.
García Peguero says that he has managed to develop a business scheme that allows him to return up to 100% that people invest in the company in less than 30 days.
The striking statement has caused great interest in many citizens, mainly those who live in Sabana Grande de Boyá, who have been encouraged to invest their money.
The main problem is that Butter, despite defending its business model and the fact that it is currently in the public eye, does not know how to explain how it doubles the money through 3.14 investments, a company that has only been in operation for a few months and which, according to him, is legally established.

So many loose ends have made finance specialists issue their opinion on the matter. Such is the case of the bank superintendent, Alejandro Fernández W, who spoke about it saying that “there is no magic here, there is no algorithm, there is no Warren Buffett. Basically, with the money that is coming from other people, those who arrived first are being paid.”
Similarly, he expressed concern about Sabana Grande de Boya and the “scams” that are being experienced in “such a small town.”

At the moment, there is no known complaint against García Peguero. On the contrary, he has the defense of the townspeople, who say they support him “through fire and blood” and have adopted the phrase “first God and then butter.”
