Businessmen expect further dialogue with the Government after meeting with Minister Del Castillo

In the meeting held on Thursday morning in Santa Cruz, between the companies, industries and Santa Cruz agriculture with the Government, technical issues were highlighted. Only the Minister of Government, Carlos Del Castillo, participated in the meeting and no other authority from the productive area. In this sense, some participants indicated that they expect a new rapprochement with the authorities to address key issues.

The different sectors together with Eduardo delCastillo, government minister, addressed the issue of the procedures and steps that must be carried out before the General Directorate of Controlled Substances and how they can become less bureaucratic.

The quote generated by Del Castillo had the participation of the Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Services and Tourism of Santa Cruz (Cainco)the Association of Private Hydrocarbons Traders (Asosur), importing companies and the Agricultural Chamber of the East (CAO).

Ian Miranda, head of Business Representations of Cainco, said that during the meeting the different sectors made the minister aware of the real situation in order to achiever the permission of the General Directorate of Controlled Substances.

Miranda stressed that the objective is to achieve the digitalization of all the paperwork and thus avoid bureaucracy that in many cases harms the industries that must use the different products classified as dangerous substances.

Only the Minister of Government participated in the meeting and not another authority from the productive area. I can know that it is not topics of particular concern to agriculture and livestock were addressed such as the use of transgenics and export quotas. Nor was the situation of the subjugation of productive lands that keep farmers on edge.

The productive sector hopes to have a closer relationship with the authorities of the productive area, Although the meeting with Del Castillo stands out, there are specific issues that are beyond the competence of the minister, which is why the participation of the other productive portfolios of the Government is required.
