The meeting took place in the green room during a meeting with the “Price and supply tables”, where the president talked with the different sectors and with the chain of the productive sector nationwide. Here importers, warehouses, merchants and industrialists of the Dominican Republic were present.

“We are jointly reviewing how international variations affect our economy, from the inputs that we import for the industry to discussions about tariffs with the United States. The news we share today have been positive,” The minister said.
According to Bisonó, the participants highlighted both the opening to dialogue and the results achieved in recent years, citing the indicators Disseminated by the Central Bank and the most recent evaluation of International Monetary Fund, which positions the Dominican Republic as a reference in economic and social stability in the region.
The minister also stressed that sectors such as National Private Company Council (CONEP) and agribusiness underlined the dynamism of the country in terms of productive diversification and exports.
“We do not deny that there are always improvement points: adjustments to compete better, raise quality and strengthen production. But the important thing is that we all agree on growth and confidence in the future of the Dominican economy”Bisonó concluded.
Celso Juan Marranzini highlights confidence of the productive sector
On his side, the president of the National Council of Private Company (CONEP), Celso Juan Marranzini, valued as positive the conclusions of the meeting held Tuesday between President Luis Abinader and representatives of the main productive sectors of the country in the framework of the price tables and supply.
Importers, warehouses, merchants and industrialists participated in the meeting, with the aim of reviewing the impact of the global economy and its incidence in domestic trade.
Marranzini explained that the effects of international variations, tariff discussions with the United States and the evolution of the local industry were analyzed. He stressed that the monthly index of economic activity (Imae) He has registered two consecutive months, which reflects a rebound in the national economy.
He also highlighted the dynamism of exports and the positive effect that the recent reduction of 0.25 points at the interest rate of the United States Federal Reserve.
The businessman pointed out that a favorable panorama for supply, economic growth and employment is foreseen at the end of the year. He stressed that, according to the Central Bank data, informality has been reduced and occupancy levels have increased, which constitutes “Very good news” For the Dominican Republic.

Finally, Marranzini stressed that all the sectors present coincided in their confidence towards the authorities and in the economic and social stability of the country, endorsed by the reports of the Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
