Uruguayan businessmen They corrected their forecasts for the rate of rise in prices in the Uruguayan economy in 2023 downwards.
According to the Business Expectations Survey for January that was released on Monday by the National Statistics Institute (INE)businessmen project inflation of 8.5% for the end of the year, from a previous 8.9% in December.
While, for the BCU’s policy horizon (24 months), it remains at 8% after falling one point last December. This is 2 points above the inflation target range (3% to 6%).
Inflation expected by analysts’ median over the 24-month horizon stood at 6.6% in January, from a previous 6.8%, according to the BCU survey.
Inflation in January it moderated and it was located at 8.05% accumulated in the last 12 months.
