Bus with 64 Venezuelans returning to the country caught fire in Peru

A bus from the Sol company that was transporting 64 Venezuelan passengers returning to the country caught fire when it was traveling on the North Pan-American highway, in the district of Ignacio Escudero, province of Sullana, in Peru.

It was also learned that the vehicle was full of Venezuelan men and women, some of them with minors, who boarded the unit in the city of Trujillo bound for the border city of Tumbes and then continued to Venezuela.

However, when they were traveling at kilometer 33 of the Sullana to Talara highway, the vehicle caught fire due to problems with the engine located in the rear.

Seeing this, the driver had to stop the vehicle and, because he was unable to control the fire, the passengers had to quickly get out and retrieve only some of their suitcases and bags.

No injuries or casualties were reported in the accident.

A short time later, the fire spread to the entire bus, for which police officers from Peru They called the firefighters of Company 43 of Sullana, who arrived at the scene and put out the flames.

It was learned that after a few minutes the Venezuelans boarded other vehicles and continued their journey to Tumbes.
