The Libertadores decision between Palmeiras and Flamengo will start 15 minutes later than scheduled. The kick-off of this Saturday’s match (29), initially scheduled for 6pm (Brasília time), will be at 6:15pm. The reason was the delay of the Verdão bus, which arrived at the U Monumental Stadium, in Lima (Peru), shortly before 5 pm, due to heavy traffic in the Peruvian capital.

Due to the delay, Palmeiras released the lineup for the final at 4:55 pm, around 20 minutes after Flamengo. Coach Abel Ferreira made no bones about it and defined as starters the 11 players he rested in the 3-2 defeat to Grêmio, last Tuesday (25), at the Arena, in Porto Alegre, for the Brazilian Championship. Alviverde goes to the field with: Carlos Miguel; Khellven, Gustavo Gómez, Murilo and Joaquín Piquerez; Bruno Fuchs, Raphael Veiga and Allan; Flaco Lopez and Vitor Roque.
At Rubro-Negro, Filipe Luís confirmed the team with Samuel Lino in attack, winning the dispute with Everton Cebolinha. The coach also defined the defense with Danilo. Despite recovering from an injury to his left ankle, Léo Ortiz remains on the bench. The formation has: Agustín Rossi; Guillermo Varela, Danilo, Léo Pereira and Alex Sandro; Erick Pulgar, Jorginho and Giorgian de Arrascaeta; Samuel Lino, Jorge Carrascal and Bruno Henrique.
The winner in Lima will be the first Brazilian to have four Libertadores titles. Palmeiras was champion in 1999, 2020 and 2021 (overcoming this Saturday’s rival in the decision). Flamengo won in 1981, 2019 and 2022.
