A collision between two buses in the west of the city of Rio de Janeiro left at least 13 injured on Saturday morning (4). According to the State Department of Health, the injured were rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and sent to three hospitals.
According to the Fire Department, the accident took place on Avenida Engenheiro Souza Filho, in the Itanhangá neighborhood, around 7:26 am.
The Municipal Health Department reported that one of the injured, admitted to the Miguel Couto hospital, is in serious condition. Of the other injured, two have already been discharged. The other patients, referred to Lourenço Jorge and Salgado Filho hospitals, are in a stable condition, according to the Secretariat.
