Two dead men and one wounded were the result of a shooting attack outside the “Status” discotheque, located in the Monte Dark sector, Victoriano Lorenzo corregimiento, San Miguelito district.
The double homicide was recorded at around 3:00 am on Tuesday, when a black Hyundai van passed slowly and two subjects shot at the victims, who were outside the establishment.
It was learned that the victims are Armando Clark, alias “Gordo/Sopa China”, and he had maintained a large criminal port since 1997 for the crimes of homicide, kidnapping and drug; and José Joel Arias, alias “Tumba”, who was a canal worker, owner of the nightclub and had no criminal record. The third injured is Johathan Zambrano Powell, alias “Cabeza de Huevo”, a member of the Bagdad gang, accused of gang activity and served a sentence last year.
At least 30 bullet casings were found in the area.
Deputy Commissioner Gustavo Chong Ho of the National Police confirmed the fact of blood and said that the third injured person is out of danger at the San Miguel Arcángel hospital.
He added that the abandoned vehicle that the criminals allegedly used to get around was located in the Villa Rica sector, Río Abajo.
Chong Ho stated that the investigations of this homicide are in charge of the Public Ministry.
For its part, the Homicide and Femicide Section of the San Miguelito Prosecutor’s Office began the investigation for the crime against life and personal integrity, after this event.
