Building Inclusion focused its actions on identifying accessibility barriers
and encouraged people to transform their environments into accessible places, the
Friday September 23 in a meeting with volunteers, companies and civil society
They closed the program.
Blas Verón, national coordinator of volunteering: “Since 2021 we have been
carrying out actions with the Building Inclusion program, today
satisfactorily we can say that we have concluded our mission of bringing
inclusion and reach all the departments of the country, however this is not the
end of the program but the beginning of a new stage for accessibility in the
country”.
It is important to mention that the program has a strong component of
training in the development of talks, workshops on inclusion and accessibility,
to inform the population about the importance of building a more
inclusive, in addition to the development of signage, construction, improvements and paintings
of ramps for people with disabilities.
More than 7,900 volunteers from all over the country joined
to the construction of an accessible and inclusive country, these activities are possible
thanks to companies with social responsibility and collaborators such as Banco
Itaú and Bristol accompany the cause of Telethon in order to add shares
positive with great social impact.
One of the most outstanding activities as part of the Building program
Inclusion was the enactment of the bill that declares each year on the 30th of
June as National Accessibility Day. “This date constitutes an advance
important towards that Paraguay without limits that we dream of for all of us”,
