Budget Commission approves transfer of departure to the Minsa for pending payments

Unanimously, the Budget Commission of the National Assembly approved transfers to the Ministry of Health for the amount of B/.4,059,549.00 to pay expired terms, and B/.23, 120, 958.00 for pending payments of the Sanitation Program of Panama for operation, maintenance and infrastructure improvement services.

Likewise, it approved an additional credit for B/. 15, 413,307.00. Of this amount, B/.11,300,003.00 are to meet commitments for extra shifts for medical, technical and administrative personnel of hospitals and health centers for the months of June and July 2024; B/. 2,412,175.00 for supplies, medications and reagents for the Children’s Hospital and B/. 1,701,129.00 for payments of the third batch of the Thirteenth Month of 2024 for staff of this hospital.

The Vice Minister of Health, Manuel Zambrano Chang, who, together with the work team, supported this transfer before the deputies of the commission, reiterated his commitment to comply with the debts and pending payments.
