Bruno Pacheco, former Secretary General of the Presidential Office, revealed that the investigated Karelim López organized and paid for the birthday party that her daughter Yazmín Pacheco had. The celebration was held on the night of November 6, 2021 in a home in Cieneguilla and cost approximately S/ 99,500.
The Sunday “Punto Final” was able to access the statement that Pacheco offered, the last Tuesday, March 1to prosecutors Ramiro González and Rocío Vásquez Estrada, from the Specialized Area for Illicit Enrichment and Constitutional Complaints.
In said meeting, the high school teacher was asked about his daughter’s party and said the following: “I totally do not know the expense incurred, since I did not celebrate my daughter’s birthday, nor did I incur any expense in question. My daughter received an invitation that day from her godmother, Karelim López.”

“Mrs. Karelim López is my daughter’s first communion godmother. On November 19, 2021, he organized and paid all the expenses of said meeting. It was a surprise. I did not attend”, he added.
According to the “Cuarto Poder” program, the Cieneguilla party for Yazmín Pacheco’s 19th birthday It cost a total of S/ 99,500, divided into the following expenses: S/ 50,000 for the hiring of Group 5, S/ 12,000 for the transfer of the musical orchestra to Cieneguilla, S/ 25,000 for the rental of sound equipment, S/ 1,000 for the transfer of guests, S/ 6,500 for the rental of the house and S/ 5,000 for other expenses.
The program also indicated that the meeting was attended by about 50 guests, who arrived in vehicles linked to the businesswoman Karelim López, Zamir Villaverde and Hugo Chávez, former general manager of Petroperú. All of them are being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office after their visits to the Government Palace, where they would have met with the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo.
During his statements to Public MinistryPacheco was also asked in what circumstances he met López Arredondo, to which he replied: “When she went to visit me at the Palace, when she reminds me that at some point we have shared catechetical retreats as young people in the Franciscan parish Barefoot”.
Both Pacheco and López are being investigated by the Public Ministry for the bidding for a million-dollar project in the San Martín region, which was won by the Tarata III Consortium, linked to López Arredondo.
