Brugada aims to turn Mercomuna into a Supply for Wellbeing program

From campaign to reality

On Sunday, March 3, before thousands of attendees at the National Auditorium, the then candidate for Head of Government, Clara Brugada, presented her more than 100 campaign proposals on infrastructure, security, mobility, the environment and social programs.

In the area called “Prosperous city with a people-friendly economy”Clara Brugada announced that the Mercomuna program would be part of the programs she would promote once she takes office on October 5, 2024.

During the 60 days of the campaign, Clara Brugada stressed the importance of taking this program to the 16 municipalities and improving it.

During her thank you tour of the mayoralties, Clara Bugada announced that the Mercomuna program will be replicated throughout the capital, regardless of the political party in power.

“We are going to call the Mercomuna program Supply for Wellbeing; look, starting November 6th we will begin delivering social programs,” said the future capital governor on August 6th before thousands of attendees at the thank you tour in the Macroplaza Cuitláhuac in Iztapalapa.

The elected head of government has not yet specified who will be the official in charge of implementing the Mercomuna program in the 16 municipalities, however, she clarified that, regardless of party affiliation, this benefit will be distributed to the 16 territorial districts.
