A Criminal Knowledge Judge of Florence (Caquetá) sentenced Manuel Rano to 32 years in prison, stepfather of the Mucutuy brothers, for the crimes of violent carnal access and sexual acts with less than 14 years, both aggravated behaviors, according to the Attorney General’s Office.
According to the accuser, the case occurred in the indigenous shelter Puerto Sabalo – Los Monos de Solano, Caquetá, where the aggressor sexually abused his 10 -year -old stepdaughter between the 2020s and 2023.
The drama that lived the child came to light after an unexpected fact. In June 2023, the girl was rescued in the Guaviare jungle after the fall of a plane in which she was traveling with her mother and three brothers.
“In June 2023, after the girl was rescued in the jungles of Guaviare, where the plane fell in which she mobilized with her mother and three brothers, and was available to the Colombian Institute for Family Welfare (ICBF), it was known that for almost three years the minor endured vexars and abuses,” said the Prosecutor’s Office in a statement.
Once under the protection of ICBF, the girl could tell what she had lived during those years, and the judicial process was immediately activated.

Overwhelming tests in oral trial
During the trial held in Florence, the Prosecutor’s Office presented evidence that allowed the abuses committed by the stepfather to confirm. The judge declared the responsible man and ordered that the penalty be fulfilled in prison establishment.
The sentence was issued in the first instance, and against him proceed the law resources, said the accusing entity.
