“San Martín is a saint who distributed food to the poor and who was an example of love and generosity and teaches us to be humble,” said Iván Teófilo, a member of the brotherhood. On November 3, 1639, at the age of 60, San Martín de Porres, known as “The saint of the broom”, died.
