The former president’s nephew was held in the Castro Castro prison serving preventive detention.
Brother Vasquez Castillo, nephew of former president Pedro Castillo, was released by order of the Judiciary, as reported by his lawyer Hamilton Aliaga in statements to RPP. According to the lawyer, the Judiciary ordered him to appear with restrictions and to be prohibited from leaving the country.
“Exactly, he will have to go and sign in on a monthly basis. It means not leaving the country, not being allowed to leave the country, I don’t have anything to tell you right now. The other thing is that he signs in regularly and he can’t meet with any other person under investigation,” he said.
