Bricklayer in serious condition after receiving a machete blow

What began as a celebration between acquaintances ended in a scene of blood and hospital emergency after a fierce fight.

Freiman Ramón Yépez, a 41-year-old bricklayer, is fighting for his life after being the main victim of a violent brawl in the Simón Planas municipality of Lara state, a situation in which he received an accurate and fatal machete blow to the head.

The incident occurred during the early hours of last Wednesday, February 18 in the El Merey sector of Manzanita in the aforementioned jurisdiction.

According to witness accounts, the unfortunate man was at a party with several neighbors; However, the festive atmosphere progressively became violent as a result of excessive alcohol intake.

This situation led to the exchange of insults that heated things up and transformed the music and laughter into an open and violent confrontation.

The dispute went from words to blows in a matter of seconds.

In the midst of the chaos, one of those present wielded a knife in a lethal manner and delivered an impact to the cranial region of Yépez, who immediately fell to the floor.

The attack caused severe head trauma, which left him unconscious at the scene. Given the severity of the injury, Yépez was rushed to the Antonio María Pineda Central Hospital, where he remains under strict medical surveillance and a reserved prognosis due to his critical condition.
