Among the members of the group are the Brazilians who play for the Ukrainian team Shaktar Donestky and their families. They left yesterday afternoon (26) and went by train to the city of Chernivtsi, in western Ukraine. From there, they took a bus that took them to Romania.

Bolsonaro also said that the players received full support from the Union of European Football Federations (UEFA), which paid for road transport and accommodation in the Hungarian capital, Bucharest.

The president also said that the Brazilian Embassy has established an outpost on the border with Moldova (the road between Kiev and Romania) to welcome Brazilians “who may arrive straying through that border region.”

The president also said that the Brazilian government is making available two aircraft, model KC-390, to transport people who wish to return to Brazil.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said through its social network that the Embassy of Brazil in Kiev and the Brazilian Working Group in Ukraine, in Brasília, “continue to seek options for the quick and safe withdrawal of Brazilian citizens” who want to leave Ukraine. .

The Itamaraty said that the embassy and the working group are in contact with Brazilians registered with the embassy and monitor individual situations. Updated information is posted on Telegram and on social media at the embassy in Kiev.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brazilians also receive help from employees of the Brazilian embassies in Warsaw and Bucharest, displaced to the borders with Poland and Romania “to facilitate the exit from Ukraine and the continuation of travel to safe places”. .”
