In the first meeting between the two teams after the quarter-finals of last year’s Brasileirão – on the occasion the Palestrinas prevail – the balance set the tone for this Saturday’s match (12). Both teams went on the attack and played a game here and there. Cássia almost scored for the home team with a shot from the middle of the area, which almost didn’t go in. In the sequence, Verdão was close to swinging the net with Ary Borges: she kicked in the right corner, but goalkeeper Lorena made a beautiful save. And it didn’t stop there: in the 20th minute, Duda Santos started on the right and sent a rocket to the beam.
In the 24th minute, the Gurias Gremistas opened the scoring in Vieirão, after stealing the ball in the defense of Palestrinas. Cássia crossed for midfielder Pri Back to push into the back of the goal.
After the break, Palmeiras returned determined to change the history of the game. After seven minutes, after a vacillation by Grêmio’s defense, Ary Borges hit the plate and left everything the same. But the joy was short-lived: the goal was disallowed after the referee noted a hand touch on Bia Zaneratto’s ball. Palestrinas insisted on the attack and in the 13th minute, after a cross, Júlia Bianchi almost equalized with a shot from outside the area. The Palestrinas tie didn’t take long: at 16, in a move from the left, Zaneratto crossed from inside the area for Byanca Brasil to leave everything the same in Vieirão. And just a little bit, Zaneratto didn’t turn the score to Palmeiras in addition; The attacker shot alone on the left but kicked weakly and Lorena defended.
In the other duel this Saturday (12), Ferroviária defeated RB Bragantino, away from home, by 1-0, with a goal by Aline Milene, in the 35th minute of the final stage. The match was held at the Athlete Training Center (CFA) of RB Bragantino, in the city of Jarinu, in the metropolitan region of Jundiaí (SP).
