Corinthians provisionally assumed the vice-leadership of the A1 Series (first division) of the Brazilian Women’s Football Championship. This Sunday (15), Timão beat Cresspom-DF 3-0 at the Abadião stadium, in Brasília, for the ninth round of the competition.
It was the 100th game of Tamires for Alvinegro. The 34-year-old winger, who plays as a left midfielder for the Brabas team, took to the field wearing a shirt with the number 100 on the back.

The victory took Corinthians to 21 points, one less than leader Palmeiras. The São Paulo team hopes that Internacional does not beat Cruzeiro this Monday (16), at 5:30 pm (Brasília time), at Sesc Campestre, in Porto Alegre, to continue in second place. Cresspom, with five points, remains in the relegation zone. The Cerrado Tigresses are in the 14th and antepenultimate position.

The Corinthians opened the scoring in the 23rd minute of the first half. The lateral Juliete invaded the area from the left and hit a cross, the goalkeeper Quezia defended and the rebound exploded at the feet of the defender Bruna Amarante, who made it against. In the bid that preceded the break, Tamires took a corner from the right and the ball was left for defender Andressa to increase the lead. Three minutes into the final stage, midfielder Diany launched forward Gabi Portilho, who dribbled over Quezia and decided the match.

In another game this Sunday, Avaí/Kindermann defeated Flamengo 1-0 at the Salézio Kindermann stadium, in Caçador (SC). The Avaianas Lionesses went to 11 points, leaving the relegation zone and assuming, temporarily, the ninth place, one point from the Rubro-Negro itself, which closes the G8.
Midfielder Fabíola Sandoval, ten minutes into the first half, put the hosts ahead. The 22-year-old Paraguayan hasn’t scored since March 21, when she scored four times in a 5-2 rout over Esmac-PA, also in Caçador. Flamengo pressed in the second half, without success.
