A Brazilian citizen wounded yesterday a police officer with gunshots and then fled. It happened on Busch Avenue in Santa Cruz de la Sierra and was already identified. He carried double identity and is considered high dangerous for his links with an international criminal organization, which has motivated a broad police operation to find his whereabouts.
Hours before, intelligence services had detected the presence of an armed foreigner that circulated in the capital. The agents set up a follow -up that allowed it to locate it while traveling in a taxi. When he noticed the intervention, ‘The Passenger’ opened fire against the uniformed after getting out of the vehicle. After that, he ran to the fourth ring towards the ecological cord.
The injured policeman was identified as Manuel Rosendo Zapata Pachuri, who was shot in the fibula on the right leg. Initially he was admitted to the Udabol Clinic, then transferred to the National Health Fund.
Double identity
In the subsequent investigation, the Special Force to Fight Crime (FELCC) established that the Brazilian had rented an apartment in the Element By Elit building for one day. He entered on Monday, August 18 at 6:10 p.m. and retired on Tuesday 19 at 10:56. Over there He presented documentation from Lucas Alves Dos Santos with Brazilian document 44,762,027. However, after the inquiries, another identity was found with the name of Pedro Afonso Silva Borratto.
The reports detail that the man was in a blue taxi and, seeing the policehe made at least eight shots outside, wounding a uniformed. The driver was arrested and transferred to the FELCC to declare, although it was then reported that he would be released. His vehicle, a blue psum toyota with yellow stripes and 1839-PQC plaque, was retained. Inside Police found two big bags and a backpackwhich were transferred to police units for review. Until the closing of this edition it was not revealed about its content.
After the fact, dozens of uniformed men mobilized in the area of the ecological cord, near the Piraí cabins, in an attempt to fence the fugitive. Sevenes were also installed in the nearby streets, as well as in the accesses to the fourth ring and in the bridges to Urubó and Porongo. However, They failed to locate it and it is presumed that it could be hidden among the bushes.
Ecological cord sweep
Police warned that it is an individual of high danger, not only for carrying a firearm, but for shooting against troops in public roads.
At 20:00, last night, a police contingent of several units began a Rastrillage operation in the ecological cord, under the command of Colonel Jorge Silva, Departmental Subcomandante, with the aim of finding the fugitive. It is not ruled out that he has links with criminal organizations such as the first capital command (PCC), based on Brazil.
The case occurs just a week after another violent event recorded in Santa Cruz: an armed attack that left three dead foreigners in the Northern Petroleum neighborhood, on Beni Avenue, between the second and third ring. The victims were identified as Nazapebckn Lazarevski (43), Bulgarian nationality, Dejic Miljan (38), Serbia, and a third not yet identified. The investigations indicate that the three were tortured before being executed. Four men were apprehended as suspects of that triple crime.
This case was in reserve, but links with international organized crime were revealed.
This fact ignited the alarms about the presence of foreign criminal organizations in Boliviaparticularly in Santa Cruz, where in recent years there have been murders with similar characteristics, linked to drug trafficking, smuggling and money laundering. Intelligence sources indicated that Bulgarian and Serbian citizens have been involved in drug trafficking crimes in South America, although confirmation will depend on the official information sent by consulates.
Another source commented that one of those killed had several tattoos with which the first command of the capital (PCC), the largest criminal organization in Brazil, is identified, which is also involved in cases of drug trafficking with connections in several countries in the region. The PCC has 146 members identified in Bolivia, Among deprived of liberty and people in freedom, according to an international mapping released in June on the official information of the State of São Paulo.
