Brazilian Wilton Sampaio and Peruvian Kevin Ortega They were appointed by the Referees Commission of the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) to be the central referees for the matches that Bolivia will play in October within the framework of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
Sampaio, 42, a FIFA referee since 2013, will be in charge of the match between La Verde and Colombia, for the ninth round. This match will be played at the Municipal Stadium of Villa Ingenio, in the city of El Alto, on Thursday, October 10th starting at 4:00 p.m.
Sapaio’s line assistants will be Bruno Boschilia and Nailton de Souza. Ramón Abatti will be the fourth referee, while Daniel Nobre and Pablo Goncalves, all of Brazilian nationality, will be in charge of the VAR.
For its part, ePeruvian Ortega will direct the clash between Argentina and Boliviafor the tenth round of the Qualifiers, which is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, October 15. The match will take place at River’s Monumental stadium, starting at 20:00 (HB).
Ortega, 34, will be assisted on the wings by Michael Orue and Jesus Sanchez. The fourth official will be Roberto Pérez and those responsible for the VAR will be Diego Haro and Jonny Bossio, all Peruvians.
For the ten South American qualifying matches in Octoberno Bolivian arbitrators were appointed, Ecuadorians, Colombians and Paraguayans.
Bolivia will face the teams that occupy the first two places in October in the qualifying standings, which are the same as those who were finalists in the 2024 Copa América in the United States.
