Brazilian gymnast Isabelle Marciniak died this Wednesday (24), aged 18, from cancer. The Paraná native, born in Araucária, stood out at Clube Agir with state and national titles, including a gold medal in the 2021 Brazilian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship.
Among her latest achievements in the sport, the title of champion with the adult trio from Clube Agir, in 2023, stands out. The death information was confirmed by the Paraná Gymnastics Federation.
“May your story, your passion for sport and your memories continue to live on as an inspiration for all who believe in gymnastics as a tool for human development and transformation,” the organization wrote in a statement on social media.
Isabelle was fighting a Hodgkin’s lymphomaa type of cancer that originates in the lymphatic system, a part of the immune system, the body’s defense.
