The Brazilian deputy Zé Trovão officially reported to the United States Embassy in Brazil about the presence of Nicolás Maduro in that country, to request his capture
The Brazilian deputy Ze Trovao sent this Monday, May 30, a letter to the US Embassy in Brazil to request information on “what measures can be adopted by the United States government to capture” Nicolás Maduro, who met with President Lula in the capital Brasilia on Monday, May 29.
In 2020, the then US Secretary of Justice, William Barr, filed narco-terrorism charges against the main figures of Chavismo and offered a reward of 15 million dollars with information that would allow the arrest and prosecution of Maduro.
Barr pointed out that the border between Colombia and Venezuela has been taken over by FARC dissidents under the protection of Ripe. For this reason, he accused the regime of plotting a conspiracy with the FARC to “flood the United States with drugs.” Barr added, it is estimated that between 200 and 250 metric tons of cocaine are sent out of Venezuela through the routes of the criminal alliance, which is equivalent to up to 30 million lethal doses.
In the letter presented, Trovão points out that Maduro appears on the website of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), as “wanted by US authorities, accused by the US Attorney General, Willian Barr, of drug trafficking crimes , international terrorism and corruption”.
The document is addressed to the US ambassador to Brazil, Elizabeth Frawley Bagley.
“I express to this Embassy my indignation at the presence of the Venezuelan dictator on Brazilian soil, while I request information on what measures the US government can adopt to capture this criminal,” wrote the federal deputy close to former President Bolsonaro.
