Brazil won the title of the U17 South American Championship on Saturday night at the Jaime Morón León Olympic Stadium in Colombia by defeating the 4-1 Colombian team in the penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in regulatory time. This is the 14th achievement of the Canarinho team in the competition.

With a lot of race, the team led by coach Dudu Patetuci won Colombia on penalties (1-4), took the 14th South American title under 17 and was the only unbeaten team in the competition.

The Brazilian team secured the title of the competition unbeatenly after drawing with Uruguay 1-1 in the debut, and beat Bolivia (3 to 0), Venezuela (1 to 0) and Ecuador (3 to 2) by the group stage. In the semifinal Brazil surpassed Chile 1-0.
In the match last Saturday, Brazil went out at a disadvantage in the marker, 40 minutes of the first half after the right finish of Sevillano. However, the team led by coach Dudu Patetuci equaled the marker 42 minutes into the final stage with Angelo head.
As equality lasted until the final whistle, the title was decided in the maximum penalties dispute, in which Gustavo Gomes, Tiago, Ruan Pablo and Dell converted to Brazil, while Colombia wasted two submissions, with one charge in the post and another defended by Arthur.
