The number of daily infections by the new coronavirus is increasing again in Brazil. In the last seven days this figure has more than tripled. Last Thursday (23) showed a daily number of 3,600 cases. According to a bulletin from the Ministry of Health (MS) released today (30), 13,405 cases were registered from yesterday to today. The number of people infected with the new coronavirus since the start of the pandemic has reached 22,277,239.

The total number of deaths caused by covid-19 has not grown at the same rate and reached 618,984, with 167 deaths between yesterday and today. There are still 2,828 deaths under investigation, but that data is still up-to-date. Data on deaths under investigation occur because there are cases in which the patient died, but investigation of the cause requires further examinations.
So far, according to official data, 21,582,700 people had recovered from the disease.
States
According to the balance provided by the State Health Departments, the state with the most deaths by covid-19 is São Paulo, with 155,186 records. Then comes Rio de Janeiro (69,459), Minas Gerais (56,655), Paraná (40,887) and Rio Grande do Sul (36,441).
The states with the fewest deaths from the disease are Acre (1851), Amapá (2021), Roraima (2078), Tocantins (3,939) and Sergipe (6,057).
The federation units with the most registered cases are São Paulo (4.4 million), Minas Gerais (2.2 million) and Paraná (1.5 million). The states with the fewest cases are Acre (88.3 thousand), Amapá (126.9 thousand) and Roraima (128.7 thousand).
