Brazil records 37,900 cases and 351 deaths from covid-19 in 24 hours

Covid-19: Brazil has 29.83 million cases and 659 thousand deaths

The Ministry of Health released today (26) new figures on the covid-19 pandemic in the country. According to a daily survey carried out by the ministry, Brazil recorded, in 24 hours, 37,900 new cases of the disease and 351 deaths.Brazil records 37,900 cases and 351 deaths from covid-19 in 24 hours

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the country has accumulated 33.6 million confirmed cases and 677,400 registered deaths. The number of people who have recovered from the disease totals 32.1 million (95.4% of cases).

The state of São Paulo has the highest number of accumulated cases, with 5.8 million cases and 172,600 deaths. Next are Minas Gerais (3.8 million cases and 62.7 thousand deaths); Paraná (2.6 million cases and 44.3 thousand deaths) and Rio Grande do Sul (2.6 million cases and 40.3 thousand deaths).

Acre has the lowest number of cases (141,151) and deaths (2,010). In number of cases, the state of the North Region is followed by Roraima (171,871) and Amapá (175,871). In terms of deaths, then comes Amapá (2,149) and Roraima (2,158).

Vaccination

According to the Ministry of Health’s vaccinometer, 462.7 million doses of vaccines against covid-19 were applied, 177.9 million of which were the first dose; 158.9 million from the second dose, plus 100.8 million from the first booster dose and 15.4 million from the second booster dose.
