Brazil reaffirms its candidacy for the 2029 Club World Cup

The president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Samir Xaudreaffirmed this Monday that Brazil will present itself as a candidate to host andl Club World Cup of FIFA in 2029, as he considers that the country is “fit” for it. “We did not launch the campaign as such, but we are already talking behind the scenes. We are going to work for it.

“Brazil is ready to host this great event,” he told reporters next to FIFA president Gianni Infantino, who was visiting Brasilia. However, the top leader of the CBF said that hosting the tournament, which held its first edition last year in the United States and crowned English team Chelsea, “requires many conversations and many adjustments.”
