The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) reported this Saturday (21) that Brazil was elected for another term on the Organizational Committee of the United Nations Peace Consolidation Commission (PBC).
The election took place by acclamation on December 19th and will be valid for the period between 2025 and 2026.
The committee was created in 2005, with the participation of Brazil, in order to coordinate international efforts to promote sustainable and lasting peace.
This year, Brazil held the presidency of the collegiate and defended the strengthening of the body to prevent international conflicts and consolidate peace in 2025.
Brazil has participated in the committee’s activities uninterruptedly since 2010.
