The Brazilian team began its journey in the 2027 Men’s Basketball World Cup Qualifiers with an 82-66 victory over Chile, on Thursday night (27) in Valdivia (Chile).

Georginho (with 16 points, two rebounds and three assists), Léo Meindl (12 points, ten rebounds and one assist) and Lucas Dias (16 points, three rebounds and four steals) were the individual highlights of the green and yellow team.
Brazil’s next match in the competition is again against Chile, but at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, in São Paulo. The match will be played from 7:10 pm (Brasília time) next Sunday (30).
In the World Cup qualifiers, Brazil is part of Group C, alongside Chile, Colombia and Venezuela. The first phase of the competition will be played until July 2026, with round-trip clashes with rivals. The top three in the group qualify for the second phase.
