Brazil generated 85,864 jobs in the month of November, the result of a total of 1,979,902 admissions and 1,894,038 dismissals. 
The data is part of the new General Register of Employed and Unemployed Persons (Caged), released this Tuesday (30) by the Ministry of Labor and Employment.
Accumulated
The numbers show that, from January to November 2025, there was a positive balance of 1,895,130 jobs, resulting from 25,055,514 admissions and 24,160,384 dismissals.
Of this total of 1.895 million, 1.462 million were typical jobs and 434 thousand were non-typical.
Apprentice, intermittent, temporary workers hired by CAEPF and working hours of up to 30 hours are considered non-typical.
Still according to the new Caged, in the last 12 months (December 2024 to November 2025), the positive balance is 1,339,878 jobs, an amount lower than the balance observed in the period from December 2023 to November 2024 (1,781,293 jobs).
Sectors
According to the balance presented by the portfolio holder, Luiz Marinho, only two of the five major groups of economic activities recorded positive balances: commerce (+78,249 or +0.7%) and the services sector (+75,131 or +0.3%). Negative balances were recorded in agriculture (-16,566 or -0.8%), construction (-23,804 or -0.7%) and industry (-27,135, or -0.2%).
In November, positive balances were recorded in 20 federative units, with the highest absolute balances in São Paulo (+31,104), Rio de Janeiro (+19,961) and Pernambuco (+8,996).
The states with the lowest absolute balances of job creation last month were Minas Gerais: (-8,740 jobs or -0.1%), Goiás (-8,413 or -0.5%) and Mato Grosso: (-5,802 jobs or -0.5%).
Average salary
The real average salary for admission in November 2025 was R$2,310.78, practically stable in relation to the previous month (R$2,305.00). There was a positive variation of R$5.78 (+0.3%). Compared to the same month of the previous year, which takes into account changes resulting from the seasonality of the month, the increase was R$67.95 (+3.03%).
For workers considered typical, the real entry salary was R$2,355.56 (1.9% higher than the average value), while for non-typical workers it was R$1,991.42 (13.8% lower than the average value).
