The Brazilian soccer team will set up its headquarters during the 2026 World Cup at The Ridge hotel in Basking Ridgea town in the state of New Jersey (USA), and will train during the group stage at Columbia Park, the club New York Red Bulls, in the neighboring city of Morristown.
The lodging and training locations of the ‘Canarinha’ in the group stage of the World Cup, both in New Jersey, were defined this Wednesday by FIFA at the request of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
Training center and hotel
In a statement, the CBF highlights the state-of-the-art facilities at Columbia Park, which, it assured, have modern training areas, a gym, locker rooms and administrative offices with sustainable designs and accessibility.
The Confederation added that the training center is currently undergoing works to expand the structures and modernize the facilities and equipment.
The CBF also argues that it chose The Ridge hotel as its lodging location because it offers privacy, comfort and security within walking distance of the places where it will carry out its different activities at the World Cup.
Near their party headquarters
Paired in Group C of the World Cup to be played in United States, Mexico and Canada, Brazil will play its three group stage matches in American cities.
The team led by the Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti will debut in the World Cup on June 13 against Morocco at MetLife Stadium in New York.
Six days later he will face Haiti at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and on June 24th it will be measured at Scotland at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
Travel time from the hotel to the training site is 15 minutes and 30 minutes to the stadium in New York where they will play their first match.
A long search
The lodging and training locations were chosen by members of the CBF Selections Department after a series of visits in recent months to hotels and training centers in Orlando, Seattle, Portland, Dallas, Nashville, Boston, Kansas City, San Diego, Los Angeles, New York and New Jersey.
“Since we guaranteed the classification, we took every care to find a place that could offer the necessary training structure, with privacy, modernity and comfort. The RB New York (New York Red Bulls) training center is the perfect setting to welcome us,” stated the general coordinator of Brazilian national teams, Rodrigo Caetano.
