Brazil breaks export record to the USA in 2024

A survey by the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil (Amcham Brasil) shows that Brazilian exports to the United States in 2024 reached a record mark of US$40.3 billion, an increase of 9.2% over the previous year. The data, released this Thursday (16), in São Paulo, is in the Commerce Monitor 2024 study.Brazil breaks export record to the USA in 2024

The volume exported also reached unprecedented levels, with the sale of 40.7 million tons of products to the United States, representing an increase of 9.9% over 2023.

The Brazilian industry recorded a record US$31.6 billion in sales to the USA in 2024, an increase of 5.8% compared to 2023.

Industrial products represented 78.3% of all Brazilian exports to the USA, consolidating the country as the main destination for sales in this sector for the ninth consecutive year.

Europe

Brazilian industry exports, in 2024, to the European Union totaled US$22.4 billion and to Mercosur, US$18.8 billion.

Among the main products of Brazilian industry exported to the United States are crude oil, aircraft, coffee, cellulose and beef.

Brazilian imports of North American products grew 6.9% in 2024, reaching US$40.6 billion. Sectors such as engines, non-electrical machines and aircraft had significant results, contributing to the second highest historical value of imports, behind only 2022 (US$51.3 billion).
