Brazil secured its place in the semi-finals of the futsal World Cup after defeating Morocco 3-1, this Sunday (29) at the Humo Arena, in Tashkent (Uzbekistan). The triumph of the team led by coach Marquinhos Xavier was built on goals from Marcel, Leandro Lino and Dyego.
“We knew that the game today would be very difficult, with a lot of physical exhaustion. It’s a team [do Marrocos] who works the ball very well, so we knew we would have to have a lot of concentration in defense. I think we’ve avoided playing our game with the ball a little, but the delivery we’ve had so far shows what we really came here for. [o título]”, declared after the match winger Marcel, Brazil’s top scorer in the World Cup with ten goals scored.
Now the Brazilian team measures forces with the Ukrainian team to seek qualification for the grand final. The match will take place from 12pm (Brasília time next Wednesday (2). The other semi-final will be defined between Argentina and Kazakhstan, in one group, and France and Paraguay, in the other. The games will be played next Monday Friday (30).
