Martin Braithwaite had a brilliant debut with Guildwhich was imposed at home to Cuiaba (1-3). The Danish striker scored two goals (64′ and 86′) and a third own goal (52′) at the Arena Pantanal. Gustavo Nunes opened the scoring in the 23rd minute and the Porto Alegre team has now won three consecutive games and is out of the relegation zone.
Braithwaite made a good start in Brazilian football. In his first match with his new team he showed great participation and good physical condition. He participated in the first goal, after hitting the post and Gustavo Nunes finished it off. In the second, he scored an unfortunate own goal, but redeemed himself by scoring the second after a wonderful play by Monsalve. He closed the scoring with a great goal.
