Massa Bruta appears, provisionally, in third place in the table, with five points, but should lose positions in the round. The Tricolor, with one point less, occupies the fifth place and can also fall in the classification throughout the weekend.
Worried about Tuesday’s commitment (26) for Libertadores, against Estudiantes (Argentina), away from home, at 19:15 (Brasília time), Bragantino’s coach, Maurício Barbieri, chose to spare some players, scaling only the goalkeeper Cleiton, side Aderlan and midfielder Jadsom of the usual starters. In São Paulo, coach Rogério Ceni promoted the entry of defender Robert Arboleda, midfielder Andrés Colorado and midfielders Patrick and Nikão in the starting 11. Tricolor will also play as a visitor in the middle of the week, at 7:15 pm on Thursday (28), in Bolivia, against Jorge Wilstermann, for the Copa Sudamericana.
Despite the absences, Bragantino needed just one minute of the ball rolling to take the lead. Goalkeeper Jandrei hit the conclusion of midfielder Miguel on the crossbar, at the entrance of the small area, after a corner kick from the right, but forward Alerrandro, in the left, did not waste. Even with greater offensive presence, São Paulo went blank in the first stage, stopping at Cleiton and finishing off the field.
The balance was maintained in the return of the interval, but the Tricolor achieved equality in the 24th minute of the final stage, also in the aerial ball. The side Wellington crossed from the left and Eder headed for the nets. The striker almost turned the score around at 39, when he received a pass from midfielder Igor Gomes and played over Cleiton, on the archer’s exit, but hit the post. In stoppage time, Rogério Ceni was sent off for complaints.
