Former Vice President and former Minister of Economy Amado Boudou maintained that in the Frente de Todos (FdT) there is a “healthy political discussion because there are different visions of the country”, and considered that the proposition on income distribution formulated by the Vice President was “very accurate”. Cristina Kirchner in the plenary session of the UOM in which she participated last Friday in the Buenos Aires town of Pilar.
In a dialogue with El Destape Radio, Boudou pointed out that from the 1980s to today “on a global scale, productivity grew three times”, but the wage bill remained, which is why he raised the need to better distribute income and ” what Cristina points out is very accurate”.
“Cristina brought up an issue that is central to me, which is this issue of productivity and salary,” continued the former official.
In this line, he assured that neoliberalism tends to “concentrate income for very few people“, while a huge number of wage earners is disadvantaged, with “an income of business profitability” increasing but “that of the great majorities shrinking”.
In another section of the interview, Boudou stressed that “in the FdT there is a healthy political discussion because there are different visions of the country”, and mentioned the presence of “a vision more linked to exports and the theory of the spill, and another vision more linked to salary.
“It will not be very easy to lower prices with good manners,” he also said.
In this context, he pointed out that “Good manners with very few will be bad manners for many”in relation to prices.
He also argued that “what distorts this situation are monopolies or market power,” and noted that Argentina “has a structural problem of too much concentration.”
He also stated: “I think there is not much chance of a gradual slowdown in the price issue through agreementyes.”
In political matters, he praised the figure of the Vice President and considered that “Cristina’s appearance gives more air to the Government”.
“Cristina is the figure that condenses credibility forward,” he concluded.
