Botafogo advanced to the semi-finals of the Libertadores by eliminating Sao Paulo on penalties

Botafogo qualified for the semi-finals on Wednesday of the 2024 Copa Libertadores by eliminating Sao Paulo on penalties 5-4 in the return match, played at the Morumbi stadium, in the city of São Paulo.

The Argentine Thiago Almada put ‘Fogao’ ahead in the 15th minute, although the also Argentine Jonathan Calleri, with a great header, tied the score for the home team in the 87th minute.
