“Today, more than 150 Cuban immigrants were taken into US Border Patrol custody. Over the past two days, several large groups have made landfall on remote islands off the Florida Keys and were located by Coast Guard partners. and US Customs and Border Protection,” the official said in Twitter.
It is expected that the majority of these Cubans will be deported to Cuba once they receive food and rigorous medical attention.
