The Minister of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Ángel Manero Campos, reported that bonuses will be granted to those affected by the forest fires in the following weeks through the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis).

Angel Manero indicated that next week the Collection of information and registration of those affected due to the incidents that occurred throughout the country, mainly in the regions declared in a state of emergency, but did not rule out expanding assistance to other areas that were also affected.
He specified that the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) will transfer resources to Midis for the delivery of bonds to victims of disasters.
“We have coordinated with Midis the transfer of resources from Midagri for the delivery of a bonus to those affected by the forest fires, in addition to the Pension 65, Juntos, food assistance and other services, so that immediate help will be concentrated on the affected producers,” he assured the Regional Communication Network (RCR).
He stressed that the delivery of bonuses to those affected by the forest fires would be effective next week, since They are currently dedicated to collecting the database of victims.
“As of yesterday, we had 248 fires registered so far this year, 90% of which have already been extinguished, meaning that there are only less than 30 active fires left. The State has deployed all its logistics, from helicopters, planes, the Air Force and more than 5,000 people in fire brigade teams,” he pointed out.
