“If you want to win the next elections, I mean the gentlemen on the left, don’t lie, don’t cheat and earn the trust of the people so that they can be elected, but don’t lie and don’t cheat,” he said at the beginning of the National Agreement meeting. , which began at 4:30 p.m. this Monday.

What did Dina Boluarte say?

The president pointed out that the radical left has changed its discourse and asked the population not to be fooled.

He also stressed that this sector is asking for the release of Pedro Castillo, but “the issue is under judicial review and it is not in my hands either,” he said.

The president referred to the closure of Parliament. “They are asking me to close Congress, but the one who wanted to close Congress is now in prison. They know that this cannot be done, that is why they are deceiving you. Do not be fooled ”, she asked those who are abiding by the protest measures in some southern regions.

What did the president say about the protests?

At another time, Dina Boluarte referred to the attempt to seize airports in several cities.

“We had to act in accordance with the legal framework to defend the lives of 33 million Peruvians because We were not going to allow the airports to be inoperative and we will continue to protect them. Today we made a minute of silence for the lives that were lost in these violent actions that we, from the Government, are not generating violence and the proof of this is that in Puno there are wounded policemen”, he added.

Boluarte also confirmed the first deceased due to the confrontation between protesters and police.

“I have just been told that a civilian has died. In protest of what? It is not being understood. They already explained the four points, it is not in my hands.

“What they are asking for is a pretext to continue generating chaos in the cities. I call them to reflect,” he said.
